Bell Art Group Inc.
The Bell Art Group Inc., formerly known as Bell & District Art Group, has been a cornerstone of cultural heritage in Bell, Queensland, Australia, since its establishment in 1965. Based at the Bell Bunya Community Centre on Maxwell Street, the group fosters local artistic talent through its Bluebelles Art Gallery, which features a modern gallery system to showcase members’ works. The group organizes regular painting days, art workshops, and the Annual Bell Art Exhibition, inviting community participation and celebrating local artisans. With a history of painting in diverse locations, from members’ homes to en plein air field days, the Bell Art Group remains dedicated to enriching the social and cultural fabric of Bell and its surrounding districts.
The Bell Theatre Group, established in 1998 and based at the Bell Bunya Community Centre in Bell, Queensland, Australia, has been a vibrant part of the local cultural scene for over 25 years. Known for its annual Bell Theatre Restaurant productions, the group delivers a mix of musical comedies and one-act plays, such as their 2023 show "The Hardcase Hotel" and the 2022 reprisal of their debut production, "Jungle Juice." Originally directed by talents like Ruth Storey, the amateur troupe, supported by dedicated musicians and crew, performs at the Bell Memorial Public Hall, engaging audiences with performances that range from hilarious to heartfelt. The group also contributes to community events, including Australia Day celebrations with plays like "Anzac Biscuits" in 2019, fostering social and cultural enrichment in Bell and its surrounding districts.
Bell Community Housing Association Inc.

In 1997, The Bell & District Progress Association Inc. set up a 'Seniors Housing Project' to provide secure long-term housing for the seniors of Bell. In January 2000, The Bell Community Housing Association Inc., was established to continue the goals of the 'Seniors Housing Project' and is dedicated to providing long-term community housing for low-income, independent seniors aged 55 and older. Operating under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), the association is part of the Bell Bunya Community Centre, supported by the Western Downs Regional Council. It focuses on enhancing the social and economic well-being of Bell’s senior residents by offering affordable accommodation, contributing to the town’s commitment to inclusive community services.
Bell Progress & Heritage Association

The Bell Progress & Heritage Association Inc. is a community organisation based in Bell, Queensland, dedicated to enhancing the social, cultural, and economic fabric of the region. Operating within the Bell Bunya Community Centre, the association collaborates with groups like the Bell Health & Wellness Group to provide diverse community services, including health, tourism, and cultural initiatives. The association plays a key role in preserving Bell’s heritage, notably through its connection to the historic Bell Railway Station, established in 1905 as the terminus of the Bell Branch Railway from Dalby. The Bell Railway Heritage Parkland, supported by the association, features a static display open to the public, showcasing restored railway section cars, a vintage rail carriage, and a historical motor and machinery collection at Popey's Shed, reflecting the town’s rich railway history.
Bell Memorial Public Hall

The Bell Memorial Public Hall, located in Bell, Queensland, is a cornerstone of community life. Built in 1917 to honour local heritage, the hall serves as a versatile venue for cultural, social, and recreational events, hosting activities like performances by the Bell Theatre Group, art exhibitions, and community gatherings. Situated within the Bell Bunya Community Centre precinct, it supports initiatives that enhance the town’s social and economic vitality. The hall’s historical significance and well-maintained facilities make it a cherished space for fostering community engagement and preserving Bell’s rich cultural legacy.
Memories of Yesteryear - History Group

The Memories of Yesteryear project is run by the Bell History Group, a subcommittee of the Bell Bunya Community Centre.
The projects intention is to make the local heritage & history available to community members and visitors. It aims to capture and share collective and personal memories through photos, notes and storytelling.
The group meets monthly on the second Tuesday 930am at The Bell Bunya Community Centre.
